The killing and destruction of Mosques, shops and houses of Muslims in Meiktila by terrorists which broke out since 20 March has still kept up.
It is reported that the religious riot which has started as business dispute between shop owner and customer on 20 March is not under control yet. This morning about 9 am, violence breaks out again in Dhobi Kong. In some areas, Muslims’ houses are still intact because they fled into forest last night. However, those people are taken into refugee camps by the police for security reason. It is reported that there is no enough water supply in those camps.
A victim from Meiktila said to M Media that “(They) set ablaze in Dhobi Kong right now. One of my friends is in army quarter. His friend from army was worried about his security so he came and picked him up. A father and his son who escaped from Dhobi Kong by motorcycle were halted by terrorist mob and they were beaten to death. They died on the spot. I saw this with my own eyes. Now I am at the refugee camp.”
