Kanbalu:       :Officers of immigration authority  threaten and force Muslims residents of Kanbalu, Sagaing Division to write affidavit to identify themselves as mixed blood of Indian and Burmese race during the process of registering for national identity card.

Ignoring the facts that Kanbalu Muslims residents are not Indian mixed blood, they were told to write affidavit to identify themselves as mixed blood of Indian and Burmese race if they want the registering process fast and get national identity card. Furthermore, they have to sign undertaking saying they wrote these affidavit at their will and no one suggest or force them to write.

They have no other choice to write such affidavit and sign undertaking since they needed national identification card urgently for graduation and traveling etc. They want public and higher authority know about such unfair and unlawful practice and are hopeful that action will be taken against immigration officers of Kanbalu township.
